Gabriela Marie Rosado Torres is a fourth-year psychology and music performance student fromPuerto Rico studying at Bard College Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Dr. Tara Helen O'Connor. She is a former member of the Bard Conservatory Orchestra and regularly performs with the Chamber Music Program at Bard. From the age of 6, she belonged to the Ponce Children Choir and to “Repique Caribeño”, a chimes and hand bell choir. During the summer of 2015, she received The Gilbert Legacy Full Scholarship for the Florida Flute Workshop. During that same year, she was also awarded a full scholarship to study flute at LIVE Performing Arts Studio with Mindy Heinsohn. In 2016 she won the Soloist Concerto Competition for Woodwinds, Piano, and Percussion and performed as a soloist with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra. Gabriela has participated in the International Music Academy Domaine Forget, the Curtis Summer Fest at the Curtis Institute of Music, and Jim Walker’s “Beyond the Masterclass” at Colburn School.
