Isabela Cruz-Vespa is a 4th year double-degree student at Bard College-Conservatory in New York, pursuing degrees in Music Performance under Dr. Tara Helen O’Connor, as well as in Psychology. In 2019, she studied abroad in Berlin, Germany, where she was taught by Leonid Grudin of the Berlin Staatsoper. She has also participated in many masterclasses, including those given by Alexa Still, Bart Feller, Keith Underwood and Paula Robison.

 

Isabela has had diverse music experiences involving Symphony Orchestra, Opera and Baroque music as well. She has previously performed with the Miami Summer Music Festival Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Summer Music Festival Symphony Orchestra, the Houston Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at Interlochen Summer Arts Academy. She has performed in music festival pit orchestras for full operas by Puccini, Mozart, Wagner and Osvaldo Golijov, and has also been an active member of the Bard Baroque Music Ensemble, with whom she has performed flute concertos by both Vivaldi and Telemann, among many other chamber works. Isabela aspires to be a professional musician and collaborative artist on the forefront of innovation in music and art. She is interested in working with visual artists, film and dance to use music to help tell stories that reach different audiences.
